How often does it get opened
Daily, and you want press and turn. It is the fastest to repeat and it resets itself, so it does not get slower over months of use.
Once or twice, and the opening is more of an event, so a flip earns its keep. Somebody unboxing a gift or a limited release is going to remember the lid swinging open.
Where does it live
A bag or a pocket rules out anything with an exposed button, because buttons find things to press against. A metal slider has no button at all.
A shelf or a drawer removes that constraint entirely, and then the decision goes back to how it opens.
What shape is the product
Long and thin, like a pre-roll or a cartridge, wants a slider or a tube. Round and shallow, like gummies or a balm, wants a round tin. Several small things that should stay apart want a flip with a compartmented insert.
This is the constraint that usually decides it, because the product does not change shape to suit the pack.
